Goodbyeeeeeeeeee

I have a feeling this is going to be a long and very honest post, and only important posts are long and honest. I'm going to be talking about the year 2009.

Where exactly do I start? Out of the 16 years of my life, 2009 has not been the worst definitely, but it is nowhere near the best.

Maybe I say this because I put this year in comparison to last year, and last year was wonderful. Schooling takes up most of my life and because last year in school was so much fun, it therefore makes 2008 the one of the best years. I had the nicest, most amazing class ANYONE could ask for, really. I met the most dedicated teacher of my life. In 2008, I got 8a's for PMR. In this particular year, I was in love with a guy too. I was an innocent 15 year old (not that I'm not innocent anymore lah) learning everything possible the world has to offer. No doubt there were those mild emotional moments where I break down, but overall. I was happy and I loved life.

The starting of 2009 took a serious toll on me. I could not cope with my studies to be really honest. I hated my Science subjects and I started wondering maybe my brain's maximum capacity is only until education in Form3, and that's why I cannot absorb anything in Form 4. I honestly could not fit in nicely in my class, and I only talk to the girls around me. Even one of my closest friends in Form 3 got more and more distant, because I was no longer sitting near here and because of certain conflicts. I began to feel the strain and distance with my then boyfriend. I never got to see him much although we study in the same school because we're in different forms and we didn't publicly announce our relationship to the whole world. Life as a debater also did not get any better. I was struggling to up my game, the seniors were starting to question my ability (heck, even I was questioning myself), I got backstabbed by a teacher (whom I still dislike until today), and I suffered a really bad emotional breakdown I believe many CHS debaters still remember. I was not so happy anymore. sad

One thing I have to thank God for though, is giving me really good friends during hard times like these. I think they know who they are. New friends, old friends that came back, old friends that stuck through, all of them helped. I have my study dates with Rachel during exams, I talked about our relationships with Yu Li, I get cheered up by Ian alot, I have Chen Lynn's shoulder to cry on whenever I got upset and all my other friends, I know they will be there for me when I need them. I slowly caught back up with life, I was a little happier.

I'm not saying 2009 was a complete shit year.

On the bright side, I guess all the stress early in the year made me jog alot. ALOT. I just ran and trained for fun everyday, in hopes of getting #79 in the cross country event, but look where it got me. 6th, to be exact (:

During the mid term holidays, I went on a trip with 3 girlfriends to Singapore. It made me happier and more relaxed although examinations were around the corner.

My mid term examinations were alright, I felt more prepared to take on whatever that's being hurled towards me, and my results were not terrible. (Actually, I got the same placing for my first and second term and by now you must be thinking what kiasu piece of crap am I, but what I mean is, I felt really insecure, unprepared, and terrified during my first term)

I broke up soon after. If my ex boyfriend is reading this now, I guess I really owe you a very proper explanation. I broke up really because I didn't want a relationship anymore. I was tired and sad. To be honest, I think you and I felt very very distant. We do not talk like how we used to, we did not act like a couple. You had SPM and I had my life. I don't think we understood each other that much as we thought we did. I still liked you when I broke up with you, if that's what you want to know. I have maintained this statement from then until now. Ending a very long (longer than you think) relationship is not an easy thing to do, trust me. But I'm glad I ended it, no matter what you or anyone else thinks. Because a few months after that, I realise how naive I am to throw myself into relationships like that, devoting myself to someone when I haven't even experienced the world. In 2009, I vow never to get into a relationship until at least 18 or else cows will pee on me.

In August (I think) came KDUDA, one of the most important moments of my 16 years. Important, because this event was the one event that helped me regain confidence in debating. We trained day and night (ok lah, not night) and I mean, hardcore train for this debate competition. The training wasn't all that pleasant but the outcome was. Out of many many teams (ok I cannot remember), we broke third after the preliminary rounds. It was a JAW DROPPER for all of us.

blogger-emoticon.blogspot.com HAHAHAHAHA okay, back to serious mood.

Breaking third was like OMG GOD PARTED THE SEAS FOR US WEY. But during octo finals we got kicked out because we were not experts at world politics. Still, when they announced the break, it made one of the happiest moments of my life. My seniors eventually got 1st runner up (:

Look at Shaun, so delighted! surprised

There was nothing much until my final term examinations. I studied, and though it didn't feel enough for me, I guess it was enough as my results weren't disappointing. My parents, at the very least, are happy.

I hit Penang with a couple of good friends in the holidays. It was a blast for me, really. One of the best holidays I've had. I'm glad to say by the end of the year, all my misery at the starting of the year seemed pretty pointless already. I was, finally, happy again.

Today, I just want to tell my family and all my friends how much I appreciate and love them. I am a grateful, and once again happy girl.

In 2010, it will be my last year in high school. I solemnly vow to make it an amazing year, with all my amazing friends together, we will rule the world whatthecow -.- Because I have too much I haven't seen, I will go all out and I will get to see all these things I've missed or yet to see. If someone invites me to climb Mount Kinabalu, why not? If someone brings me skydiving, why not? If someone offers to treat me to a feast, why not? These are chances, opportunities, and I will go all out and accept them.

One thing though, in 2010 I will officially stop blogging. I have my reasons for this, and you can ask me if you want, but I'm not going to explain. All I'm going to say is, maybe another chapter somewhere? wink That is for me to know, and you to find out. Except for Pei She.

My Mother

My post title sounds like an essay, don't you think?
Tulis sebuah karangan bertajuk 'Ibuku'. =.=

Anyway.

This is a picture of my mother, Boobs and I.

My mother is a CRAZY HUGE fan of Donnie Yen, some kungfu actor. Okay, let me show you a picture of said actor.

I honestly don't know what to think of my mother's taste.

So when she heard about this show called Bodyguards and Assasins and more importantly, Donnie Yen is acting in that particular movie, she of course dragged Father and I to watch the show with her.

The show was good honestly, based on the true story of how Sun Yat-Sen started the Chinese revolution to overthrow the Qing Dynasty. I bet there are some strong spirited Chinese people out there who will shed tears while watching this movie. But I burst out laughing lor at some scenes. I tried to control really (because it was supposedly a sad scene and I don't want people to think I'm anti Chinese or whatever) but it just came out like this lol LOL what was I supposed to do?

So this Donnie Yen guy lah, was fighting a bad guy and it was really obvious the bad guy had the upperhand and was stronger. Donnie Yen was on the floor, badly beaten up and bruised all over, spitting blood. His enemy was still standing, with bruises also lah but clearly still uhh sober. Then this Donnie Yen attempted to stand up and the bad guy hit him back down. Then he attempted to stand up again and got beaten down again.

Basically it went like this.

Stand up > Fall Down > Stand Up> Fall Down > Stand up > Fall Down > Stand Up > Die =.=

Okay lah Donnie Yen didn't die in this scene ( he almost did but he use some cunning tactic to chop his enemy ) but if I were him right! The first time I stand up and get beaten down I would just remain still and play dead lor!!! Then I wouldn't have to suffer so many beatings over and over again, but no, Donnie Yen stood up again and again and he wasn't even capable of hitting back anymore. Noble, but stupid.

And you want to know how he died in the end?

He went and uhhh ram a horse. =.= OBVIOUSLY HORSE WIN LAH stupid Donnie.

It is during scenes like that I could not help but lol

And also, how can you not lol with actors like this?

Hahahaha a police general dude who orders people around in a high pitched voice. You must be mute not to laugh =.=

Nevertheless, enjoyable show mrgreen

Why I Love Hong Kong & Why You're Stupid Not To

Hello! Wah can see pores. Anyway....

You know how the Malaysian government has this program for foreigners called 'Malaysia My Second Home' or something like that? I want Hong Kong to be my second home!! =.= Many people do not get my constant obsession with this place, and so I shall tell you what I love about it.

#1 MILK TEA zomg MILK TEA blogger-emoticon.blogspot.com

Whoever invented Hong Kong milk tea must be a geniuz. I drink this beverage at every cafe I go to. Warm (the best on a cold winter night), thick, and strong, with the milky taste still lingering on your tongue after drinking it. Oh, awzum. Compared to this, teh tarik tastes like polluted drain water =.=

#2 Alice in Wonderland!

Because everyone has a favourite Disney princess, I told myself whichever princess I take a picture with first will be my favourite. Alice isn't really a Princess =.= but oh well. All girls are princesses in Disneyland *daydreams away lol

The real #2 is actually Disneyland, where all Disney dreams come alive hahaha.

It's been a childhood dream to go to Disneyland ok. I had a deal with my mother in Standard 4. The scenario was something like this:

Mummy, if I get top 3 in class you bring me go disneyland ok!
Ok! (aiyah she cannot get one lah lol ) 3 months later...

mrgreenmrgreenmrgreen MUMMY I GOT 2ND PLACE IN CLASS!! DISNEYLAND!!
Err, rolleyes lets go Korea darling, I promise you more fun than Disneyland.

... and that's how I got conned into ditching my childhood dream for a stupid trip to Korea. evil

#3 How I can dress so eccentric and yet nobody bothers.

(because everyone dresses like that too! mrgreen)

If I were wearing hot pink tights with checkered Vans in Malaysia, people would give weird stares indicating my fashion sense has gone wrong, but in Hong Kong it's perfectly normal mrgreen It might seem abit weird, but I love tights, I just never can find a proper occasion to wear them. In Hong Kong I refused to wear jeans and I couldn't possibly wear shorts on its own, so yes. Tights :D Bought a few more there as well, way cheaper than in Malaysia.

blogger-emoticon.blogspot.com HAHAHA This onion thing just looks so appropriate now.

#4 Macau, baby!

Macau's famous landmark, the Ruins of St Paul. I am a geniuz at self shots wink Macau is one of the most romantic cities I've ever been to in my life (shut up, those who have been to Paris, London, Venice etc =.= )

Okay, 4 first. Will update soon.
Updated!
Okay I'm back! First up, Merry Christmas :) To get you in the Christmas mood, here!

Christmas decorations around Senado Square, Macau :)

Pops and I at the Venetian
I love my beanie cause very warm one.
I smile gleefully when i see everyone's ears getting frozen up and mine is still warm hehehe. lol

This is to all Boys Before/Over Flowers fanzo's!
The very stall Jandi and Jihoo ate eggtarts at! *smug* smile

Grand Lisboa in all its splendour (:

#5 SHOPPING! (Rachel & Klothie starts nodding heads frantically)

Okay, I haven't got much photos to illustrate all the shopping I did, because I was too busy shopping to bother taking pictures lah! This trip also opened my eyes and let me see how much more crazy my mother is compared to me. Now I know where I get my shopaholic genes from =.=

Anyway, I am an avid reader of sweatlee.com and all of you should read her too, seriously hahaha. Like how everyone has a favourite famous blogger, I would say she's my favourite. So, she studied in Hong Kong for awhile and talked about the best mall in the world so I took her advice and went to the best mall in the world AND OMG IT WAS SERIOUSLY THE BEST MALL IN THE WORLD O.O Perhaps not for everyone, but for me omg super fun. Okay lah, it's Argyle Center in Mongkok.

#6 Winter

To illustrate how cold it was, there. A picture of the HK citizens wearing the stupid jacket which makes you look like FAT BEEF INTESTINES whaddabum. And WHO SAID IT WASN'T COLD? *cough*rachelgan*cough* Okay lah, cannot blame her because so happened the week I decided to go, the weather decided to turn a whole lot colder. It was 8 degrees in Macau =____= and I was wearing a thin jacket and shorts with tights.

Nevertheless, I choose 8 degrees anytime over Malaysia's weather.

#7 MTR

I quote Shuzie 'The train OMG THE TRAIN!!!'
She loves the train (: and so do I.
I especially love overcrowded subways and trains during peak hours, just gives me the whole Hong Kong vibe.

#8 Food!!

Once again whaddabum I was too engrossed with eating the food until I forgot to snap pictures of it LOL but the yaucharkwai was awzum can die. So was the congee, dimsum, pork chop bun @ Macau, claypot rice and all the small titbits.

Have you fallen in love with Hong Kong yet? (:
